Privacy Policy
If Draftix changes its privacy policy, a notice will be posted here with a description of the changes. We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently.
- Use and sharing of Information by Draftix
- Browsing - If you only browse Draftix, you will not need to enter any of your personal information. Draftix will collect information about the computers, browsers and Internet connections that you and other visitors use to access Draftix. This technical information will be used by Draftix only for the purpose of securing the Draftix website. Draftix may collect data about what web pages you and other Draftix visitors access immediately before, during and after accessing the Draftix website. This web page information will not be linked to information about you or your computer and will only be used by Draftix to statistically analyze the browsing patterns of Draftix's visitors and upgrade the Draftix website.
- Registering - Registration requires that you provide an e-mail address, your home street address, a unique user name and a password. Once you log on to Draftix, Draftix will use your user name and password to locate you in the Draftix system, personalize particular Draftix web pages for you, and allow you to access and make choices about the information in your registration profile. Registration does not require any credit card information or personal information other than your e-mail and home street address. Draftix may use your e-mail address to send you administrative notices from time to time or to simply contact you. You may also elect to receive occasional e-mails containing communications from Draftix, such as announcements, special offers, notices of changes and the like, in which case Draftix will use your e-mail address to send you such communications.
- Qualifying - If you choose to create or join ticket groups on Draftix, Draftix must confirm your identity in order to qualify you to exchange tickets with other qualified Draftix users. Identity confirmation enables Draftix to take steps to protect its users against misuse of the Draftix system. In order to confirm your identity, Draftix must collect your home street address, name as it appears on your credit card and your credit card's number, expiration date and billing address, and submit this information to a third party credit card verification service. Your credit card will not be charged for registering and will only be used to verify your claimed identity and home address. Your credit card information will not be stored by Draftix unless you instruct Draftix to do so. Because children may not use Draftix, you will be asked during registration to indicate whether you are at least 18 years old. Although your birth date and gender are not required to register, Draftix will ask you to volunteer this information to help Draftix learn about its users.
- Buying, Selling and Trading Tickets - When you join or create a group on Draftix, you may become subject to Draftix fees which must be paid with your credit card. Accordingly, Draftix must collect and save your credit card information. Draftix may use your e-mail address, street address or telephone numbers to contact you to resolve issues that may arise concerning the exchange of tickets. When you buy tickets that will be distributed to you using the USPS shipping function on Draftix, Draftix will provide the ticket seller with contact or shipping information that is personal to you.
- Buying - If you buy tickets from a seller that requires payment through a private arrangement, your credit card will not be charged the cost of the tickets or delivery charges. Otherwise, buying tickets with Draftix payment functions requires that your credit card be charged the actual or estimated cost of the tickets you purchase, the associated delivery charges and Draftix service fees. Also, your credit card may be credited any reimbursements that are owed to you. IF YOU PURCHASE TICKETS FROM A SELLER THAT REQUIRES PAYMENT USING DRAFTIX PAYMENT FUNCTIONS, YOUR TICKETS WILL BE SENT TO YOU USING THE DRAFTIX USPS MAIL SERVICE FUNCTION, WHICH REQUIRES THAT DRAFTIX WILL PROVIDE YOUR NAME, E-MAIL ADDRESS, TELEPHONE NUMBER AND SHIPPING ADDRESS TO THE SELLER OF THE TICKETS SO THAT THE SELLER CAN DELIVER THE TICKETS TO YOU.
- Selling - If you use Draftix to sell tickets, you must post on Draftix the tickets' event, seat location, date and other descriptive information. This posting will available on Draftix to the other qualified users of Draftix so that they may search for tickets of interest, select ticket groups to join, select ticket preferences for pending drafts and arrange for ticket trades. Draftix may use your ticket information to allocate the tickets through a Draftix draft. In order to be paid for the tickets you sell using Draftix payment function, Draftix will use your name, address and phone number to issue you a check representative of your buyers' payments.
- Other Purposes - Draftix reserves the right to use any information it may obtain from you, your computers, your browsers and your Internet connections for dispute resolution, technical troubleshooting, to enforce the Draftix End User License Agreement, determine if users are using multiple usernames or aliases, establish or exercise Draftix's legal rights, defend Draftix against legal claims, investigate, prevent, report or take action against potential fraud, illegal activities and threats, and to prevent misuse or interference with Draftix, its rights and its properties. Draftix may disclose information it may obtain from you, your computers, your browsers and your Internet connections in order to comply or cooperate with or prosecute under any law, court order or government or law enforcement authority. Draftix or its assets may be acquired or merged, whereupon information collected from Draftix users will likely be disclosed or transferred to another party in connection with the acquisition or merger. Nothing in this privacy policy is intended to limit Draftix's freedom to transfer its business or assets to another party. Draftix is developing relationships with other businesses, with which Draftix may share aggregated demographic information (e.g., user age, gender and zip code). This demographic information is not linked to information that is personal to you or that could be used to identify you. Draftix may use compiled demographic information about its users for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Third Party Service and Ticket Providers - Draftix may disclose personal information about users to third parties who may provide services or tickets to Draftix. These third parties provide a variety of services and tickets to Draftix, including, without limitation, processing credit card transactions, verifying member addresses, disbursing payments to sellers and issuing ticket packages for sale to qualified Draftix users. The service providers will not be given permission to use such information for purposes other than to provide services to Draftix. The ticket providers may use such personal information for marketing or promotional purposes.
- The party collecting the information and data described above is Draftix, Inc. a Maryland corporation having offices at 6214 Dubrobbin Dr, Bethesda, MD 20816.
- Security
- Draftix uses Secured Socket Layers (SSLs) to encrypt Draftix web pages that collect or show sensitive information such as the credit card and personal information that you enter in order to register and exchange tickets using Draftix. A web page encrypted with SSL will have a locked padlock icon at the bottom of your web browser. When you are browsing an unsecured page, the padlock icon will appear to be unlocked. Access to all information derived from Draftix users, whether sensitive credit card information, personal information or information about users' computers, browsers and Internet connection, is secured at Draftix's building and accessed and used by only those Draftix employees with a need-to-know for their job function. The Draftix website and any of the aforementioned user derived information resides on a physically secured server hosted by Draftix's third party internet service provider.
- Draftix also tracks artifacts of user browsing, including protocol addresses, internet service providers, browser types, referencing pages, date, time and platform type. Some of this information is stored in log files and may be associated with your personal information. However, Draftix only uses this information for session management, correcting errors and bugs, analyzing advertising and ensuring security, including defeating and prosecuting firewall breaches, port monitoring, hacking and identity falsification.
- Because there are circumstances and forces beyond Draftix control, such as fire, flood, explosion, war, strike, embargo, government requirement, civil or military authority or act of nature, information derived from Draftix users may be disclosed to or taken by others in a manner that is inconsistent with this privacy policy.
- Access and Choice
Draftix gives you access to the personal information you submit to Draftix. You can make choices about this information by accessing your registration profile, clicking on the Edit My Information link, and revising your profile information or deleting it entirely from the Draftix system. You can also choose to subscribe to receive e-mail communications from Draftix, such as announcements, special offers, notices of changes and the like, by checking the subscribe box when you register or once you accessed your registration profile and clicked on the Edit My Information link. You may also unsubscribe to these e-mails by accessing your registration profile, clicking on the Edit My Information link and checking the unsubscribe box.
- Complaints
You may send Draftix an e-mail to describe any concerns or questions you have regarding the practices described in this privacy policy by emailing customersupport@Draftix.com. Draftix will promptly respond to reasonable concerns and questions. You may also do the same by sending us a letter in care of Draftix, Inc. 6214 Dubrobbin Dr, Bethesda, MD 20816, Attn: Privacy Team. If you include with your letter a postage stamped envelope addressed to you, Draftix will respond to your reasonable concerns and questions.
- Children
Persons under the age of 18 are not eligible to use the Draftix web site for the exchange of tickets. Therefore, when you register to become a user, Draftix asks you to confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. Draftix refuses to accept any personal information from users that are below the age of 18 years.
